Tubes | Morritas
A "Morrita Tube" is a custom exhaust modification where the tailpipe is cut at a sharp, elongated angle (typically 30 to 60 degrees) rather than the traditional straight or 90-degree slash cut. The cut is oriented so that the opening of the pipe faces the ground or the rear axle, while the upper lip of the pipe extends outward and upward.
Before cold drawing, the tube is annealed (softened) and then "pickled" in an acid bath to remove scale and rust. It is then coated with a lubricant (often oxalate or phosphate) to prepare for the draw bench. morritas tubes
Hydraulic cylinders undergo millions of pressure cycles. The cold drawing process used for morritas tubes creates a compressive residual stress on the inner diameter. This residual stress counteracts the tensile stress generated by internal pressure, significantly delaying the initiation of micro-cracks. Result: . A "Morrita Tube" is a custom exhaust modification
